SPECIALIZATION TRAINING IN SEISMIC AND NUCLEAR ENGINEERING
The ISBA-TP offers the opportunity for holders of a civil engineering degree to improve their skills in the field of advanced modeling with a focus on seismic and nuclear calculations. Taking into account the impacts of dynamic loads such as earthquakes on structures is essential when designing the work.
The modeling of complex structures is becoming an increasingly important issue in major engineering projects.
The consideration of non-linearities, complex dynamic load cases on irregular structures (buildings, bridges, civil engineering works) is increasingly in demand.
For example, taking into account the earthquake in France impacts many areas of civil engineering activity:
- Requalification of sensitive buildings (hospitals, schools, etc.),
- Studies of existing sensitive industrial buildings,
- Studies of existing civil engineering structures,
- Studies of new constructions.
This engineering specialization in earthquake-resistant construction will allow engineering students to learn the different methods of modeling complex structures: modeling of fluid/structure and soil/structure interactions, push-over modeling, seismology courses, prestressed concrete, use of advanced calculation software, etc.
