Specializing in eco-construction

The ISBA-TP offers the opportunity to holders of a civil engineering degree or people validating a master’s degree (bac +5), via a specialized training for engineers, to improve their skills in eco-connected intelligent buildings. The training offered provides advanced technical, legal, financial, and administrative skills justifying its post-BAC+5 positioning. The training will provide recognized skills on the structure of works and their components, their physical, legal and financial environment, digital tools (characterization, exploitation of results, digital twinning, AI, predictive maintenance, etc.). This specialty will mainly focus on materials within an infrastructure, thermal, acoustic, water-repellent impacts and interactions, etc. All the skills associated with this training will allow him to manage large-scale projects involving technical, human, financial, inventory management and tool management, and this will be possible with PMI certified engineers (training and certification during the course).

SKILLS TARGET

What courses are taught during this training in Eco-Connected Smart Buildings? This training in eco-construction and risk analysis for engineers is taught in Marseille over a period of 15 months (2030 hours). The courses are spread over three semesters, including conferences and visits (40 hours).

List of training modules with their distribution by quarter:

  • Semester 1 of the common core: It is dedicated to the acquisition of scientific and management skills of the common core (480 hours). During this period, the student addresses the technical aspects of the characterization of materials, their modeling, the real estate market, the building in its geographical, administrative, legal and financial environment. The student also learns his skills in project management through training and a qualifying certification. The student chooses his professional orientation at the end of this period which he will decline in the second quarter within the option. Notions covered: Old, recent materials & binders, pathologies, flow, thermal, acoustic, BIM, Lean BIM, ethics, project management, heritage, modeling, …

 

  • Semester 2 of Specialization (540 hours): It is dedicated to the acquisition of skills specific to eco-responsible materials, predictive maintenance of buildings, while ensuring project management relating to major works and infrastructures. This trimester is followed by a practical period via a 1-month specialization project. Notions covered: Thermal, STD, green energy sources, LCA, risk analysis, integration of green solutions, energy framework, material, etc.

 

  • Semester 3: Final year project (910 hours – 6 months): final year internship

What skills are acquired by this specialized construction engineer training?

The ISBA-TP engineer at the end of his training will be able to manage the following aspects:

  • The different eco-responsible construction techniques
  • The integration of environmental, budgetary and contractual constraints of the project
  • The management of a large-scale project
  • The modeling of elements in a digital twin
  • The monitoring of works through predictive maintenance and AI
  • The implementation of decision-making levers (AI, KPI) proposed solution / risks Eco-responsibility in the art of construction

This training in smart eco-connected buildings for engineers is taught in Marseille over a period of 15 months (2030 hours). The courses are spread over three semesters, including conferences and visits (40 hours). List of modules in the Smart Eco-Connected Buildings training with their distribution by semester:

– Semester 1 of the common core: It is dedicated to the acquisition of scientific / managerial skills of the common core (555 hours). The student chooses his professional orientation by choosing to follow more technical modules (profile of Design Offices) or more organizational (profile of Works Manager)

– Semester 2 of Specialization (555 hours): It is dedicated to the study of eco-responsible materials, predictive maintenance of buildings, while ensuring project management relating to major works and infrastructures. This trimester is followed by a practical period via a specialization project lasting 1 month.

– Semester 3: End-of-studies internship (910 hours – 6 months)
